Limassol Lidl store opened on the 4th November 2010 along with 6 other Lidl stores accross the island of Cyprus. Prices are considerably lower than rivals like Carrefour who are very expensive by comparison. Local supermarket chain Orphanides is at least doing proper special offers now as it realises there is competition, with the arrival of Lidl, so prices are dropping and choice of items are increasing. Elomas discount stores in The Larnaca area still offer some good deals on imported brands.
